After visiting several commercial sauna manufacturers, Hardy discovered that many safety standards, which are strictly enforced in his homeland of Germany, were greatly disregarded in the construction of sauna units and therefore compromising many of the health benefits a sauna has to offer as well as several safety issues.
As a former owner of a consulting firm for mechanical engineering, as well as a commercial operated sauna and fitness centre, he put these two experiences together and started Euro Sauna Corp..
Hardy’s main focus was to introduce the European sauna experience to North Americans. He studied the design and safety requirements of European sauna rooms and integrated these standards into his modular sauna design.
The flexibility to customize the design or shape requirement to meet his customers needs without compromising the true sauna experience and safety standards made Euro Sauna the choice for many astute customers.
Shortly after Euro-Sauna Corp. began production there was a need to build a larger manufacturing facility in which Hardy custom designed and built most of the manufacturing guidelines and tools. Over the past 23 years, a growing network of skilled wood working staff and independent contractors was developed and constant drive to excel brought Euro Sauna to its current level and has earned the trust of many satisfied commercial and residential customers.
Since August 2012, Chris Cole and John (GJ) Droszio are the owners of Euro Sauna Group. Chris is a Professional Forester, Professional Engineer, and enthusiastic designer and wood worker. Chris, GJ, and our contractors are dedicated to maintaining high quality craftsmanship and delivering value to customers under the Euro Sauna brand.
Now, in 2016, most saunas are manufactured on Vancouver Island, at the source of some of the world’s finest quality wood. Some sauna work is still completed from the Okanagan, in BC’s southern interior. We ship our saunas world-wide, so where ever you call home we can deliver a sauna to you!
